"I just finished a bathroom remodel with Ace Masters Construction. Because I was happy with their work I also had them do my kitchen backsplash. They had fair pricing and were respectful of my home.
I've done some remodels before and my biggest pet peeves with contractors are when they aren't responsive and communicate poorly, and when you see them for the estimate but then rarely see them again. The GC Marco was always responsive to me when I had questions (and I always had a TON of questions - he was also very patient explaining everything to my satisfaction) and he was on site a lot. And he wasn't afraid to get his hands dirty and help out as needed.
In terms of payment, he didn't ask for everything up front (as they shouldn't!) and any time a payment was made along the way, he sat down with me, pulled out the initial estimate, noted every payment I made and why and showed the balance that remained including any adjustments that had to be made. He was very transparent about any financial transactions which I really appreciated.
If you're considering a remodel, make sure to get plenty of bids and I'd recommend you them a call for one of them."
